“ I see the body as a perfect vehicle for
reclaiming spaces occupied by mass
media, and dance as relevant today
because it forces both performers and
observers to be present in the physical

Using the lens of contemporary culture, I
strive to compose art which boldly and

intimately reflects the conflict and
exhilaration of being alive now. I want
audiences to identify with the heightened

visceral experience of dancing, where, like
in the state between waking and dreaming,
simple gestures and objects take on
symbolic meaning.”

The body as an interface

and collective culture.
